My love and appreciation for nature goes as far back in my life as I can remember. As a young boy gardening and playing with wood I was always amazed with how nature just fit together so perfectly.  I fell in love with this communion we could have with the wonderful world around us.  I want to share this amazement I have with this world through my work as an artist.

Later I chose a career based in the arts and received my BFA degree in painting/drawing.  I used this to bring an artistic level of expertise to the jewelry business, designing and sculpting my work in metals, stones and other materials, including woods.  I have always loved working small and inviting people up close to look at what was going on in my work. This was revolutionary coming from the Abstract Expressionist era which was all around me in my early days. I love nature's small details, where you have to look up close to see what is going on.  I have always been committed to inviting people up close to my work.

Right now I present my line of domestic and exotic wood works from here and around the world.  I see them as small sculptures, bottle stoppers, bowls and pepper mills, with fine spalted details and textures and also some fun stuff like letter openers, book marks and candle holders.  I hope you enjoy my work as much as I have enjoyed making it.
